Chi Siamo

Oggetti d'Arte Firenze

Sono tutti esclusivamente “Made in Italy”.

Bronze

Technical connection elements of the various materials but often also construction and decorative materials are the metal components whose elegance and proportion are essential to make the final effect of the object harmonious. The metals used for production are essentially brass and bronze.

Particular attention is paid to the casting pieces which are still made with the lost wax and sand casting techniques. All components are finished by hand, polished, soldered to brass or silver, the more elaborate castings are also chiseled by hand to make the details clearer.

The most requested finish is the one we call “antique gold”; once the pure gold has been galvanically applied, the component is patinated with an aging paste and then protected with a semi-gloss varnish which, once fired at around 160°, makes the product unalterable over time but with an antique patina very similar to original.

Marble

The oldest and most classic of artistic materials is marble. In our objects it is often used to create the bases and tops of columns, as a base for lamps and floor lamps, but also to compose large pocases and table centrepieces.
Our proximity to Versilia with its Carrara marble quarries allows us to collaborate for decades with the best Italian artisans, allowing us to satisfy all the requests of our demanding customers.

Ceramic

The ceramic mixture we use has white earthenware as its basis to which various components are added to achieve such hardness and fire resistance as to be able to allow the numerous firings necessary to create the complex decorations characteristic of the current production of ceramic objects. ‘Art. Even before the advent of white porcelain, so-called soft-paste porcelain products were produced in France and Germany with characteristics very similar to the clay used today in our production to reproduce objects from that era. Most ceramic components are made using the casting technique

Painting

to obtain a surface with greater brilliance and transparency, crystalline paints are used for painting porcelain.

The Third Fire

White windows called “folders” are often created on the bottoms, on which floral decorations, landscapes or figures in period costume are then executed by painters from the best decoration schools in Tuscany. These decorations are called third-fire decorations because in order of execution they come after biscuit baking and painting.

The Crystal

Crystal is certainly one of the most fascinating materials; only superior quality raw materials are used to make it. The crystal used for our components, having a refractive index greater than 1.545 and containing over 24% PbO, is of the highest quality.

The crystal processing is carried out by hand; it is mouth blown and the engravings are made completely by hand and this allows for an incredible level of detail which makes the piece much brighter and more defined than common molded pieces.

The transparent crystal can be embellished with paste color or with the casing process: before the transparent crystal is blown, a layer of colored crystal called “camicia” is placed, hence the name. With hand engraving this layer is removed, revealing the transparent layer underneath.
